This album contains photos of models I have worked with and you won't find any pinup or retro shots here. therefore I made a separate album.
Strobist and StudioA strobist is a photographer who uses off-camera flash (OCF) to take pictures. Instead of the usual pop-up flash or speedlight attached on top of the camera, strobists use OCF to achieve more pleasing and more dynamic photographs.Light is the language of photography. Without light there are no photos. With strobes, you add more light to the picture, and thus will have more control over the final product. It’s like knowing more words when writing a novel. Adding a single light can introduce drama in a picture. It can show more detail or hide some. The extra work you put into making the shot, greatly affects the output.Since last Christmas I have some Studiolights too which i will use often in my shoots.
The ones I have are Illustar SM-300 watt http://www.studioflash.be/product_info.php/products_id/1552 with some large softboxes, a huge beautydish, umbrellas etc. A lightmeter is also a must, so now i use a Gossen Digipro F and it works like a charm. even with strobist I use the external lightmeter to have more control over the light.
Thanks for reading,
Rosita
