Here you can see before and after of my latest Beach shoot with Deathbird.
The basics were already fine, so no light issues or anything. I used 2 strobist flashes at almost full power with an aperture of f16 to control the hard sunlight. the main thing here was to smoothen the skin and get rid of nasty shadows i didn't like. It was a lot of cloning-work in photoshop and ofcourse straightened the photo too.
To have the retro color I added a color which I think was looking good. every photo has it's own atmosphere and every photo needs it's own postprocessing. so no standard techniques used on all my shots. Just playing around in photoshop.......I worked on this photo for about 2 hours with cloning by hand :-)

Picture is only 900pix high, so in slideshow it can look a bit more unsharp. High res photos of mine never come online.
